After a disappointing loss against Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos 5, JV Tritons 2) on a cold and windy Tuesday afternoon, the Tritons JV Lacrosse team came ready to play at 7:00pm on Wednesday night against the Newport Harbor Sailors.

The Tritons were on fire on the cold chilly night at SCHS stadium. Clay Stevens got the party started with a goal in the first quarter (assist Brennan O'Toole), followed by scores from former goalie turned attack, Ian Jameson and Cain Piho in the second quarter.

In the third quarter Ian Jameson took the Sailor defense on a wild ride as he ran around the goal, then doubled back, shot and scored as a grimacing Coach Rudge looked on. Cain Piho and Brennan O'Toole added two more goals in the fourth quarter.

Throughout the game the Triton defense anchored by David Anthony, Austin McGowan and Tyler Bardzilowski continuously shut down the Sailor offense by checking, prodding and badgering Newport to the point that they couldn't get any rhythm and very few shots on James Ruiz and Brodie Collins who shared the goalie position during the game.
